I provide web design services using content management systems such as Joomla and WordPress. I have had experience creating such websites (such as this blog, which is powered by WordPress). Also, I have helped create my town’s community portal, Westborough.Com, which is powered by Joomla.
The advantage of using a CMS is that after the website is set up, you can easily add more content to it, and customize it. I will offer basic assistance through email even after the site is set up. I will also provide sources from which you can learn how to manage your site.
The Platforms:
I’m able to create a website for you using various platforms these are the options:
Joomla- a very powerful CMS that has a huge selection of templates and extensions so functionality can be easily added to the site. It is easier to use than Drupal, but doesn’t provide such a level of control and customization. It is best suited for the typical website
WordPress- a CMS mainly used for blogging, but can also be used to create simple websites.
Drupal- a very powerful CMS that acts a platform for more complex and customized websites. It has a learning curve and can be hard to maintain, but with it, you can create very complex websites.
Pricing:
Pricing will be given based on the circumstances. Contact me for details.
Content:
Content (text, images, video) must be provided by the site owner
Templates and extensions:
I will provide you with links to find a template that fits and then you must send me a link to put this onto your website. Extensions I will find for you based on your criteria, but it is not guaranteed that there is one. As templates and extensions are third party material, I can not guarantee that they will work perfectly. Premium templates and extensions can be purchased by the site owner, if desired, and installed onto the website.

Hosting and domains are to be purchased by the site owner, a user name and password must be provided to me, but when the site is completed, you are recommended to alter the password (and/or username)
Credit:
A link back to my blog is recommended and appreciated, but not required.
Assistance after the site is completed:
When the website is done, I will provide basic help through email, at no cost. Help includes (but is not limited to): CMS usage help and minor issues (broken link, image not showing up, etc). This assistance is not guaranteed to fix issues, but I will try my best to fix the problem.
